Four alumni were inducted into the Athletic Hall of Honor during 2014 Homecoming festivities. From left are Ken Kozemzak’89, Stephanie Fruin Johnson’91, David Hendricks’64, and Carolyn Krueger O’Brien’91.

Ken Kozemzak’89, a four-year letter winner for the men’s basketball team and three-time letterman in baseball, earned All-Midwest Conference honors three times in basketball and twice in baseball. In baseball, he earned All-MWC honors as a shortstop his junior season and as an outfielder as a senior.

Stephanie Fruin Johnson’91, a four-year letter winner for women’s track & field and four-time All-Midwest Conference performer, was her team’s MVP her junior season. She was a four-time champion in the triple jump (two indoor, two outdoor) and won the long jump once. She still holds the Beloit records, both indoor and outdoor, in the long and triple jump events.

David Hendricks’64, a four-year letter winner for the men’s basketball team and three-time All-Midwest Conference selection was the team’s MVP twice. A guard, he was only the fourth player in Beloit history to eclipse the 1,000 career-points mark and still ranks 16th in program history with 1,013 points.

Carolyn Krueger O’Brien’91, a four-year letter winner for the women’s track & field team, was Beloit’s first female athlete to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, placing 10th in the shot put as a senior. She was a three-time MWC champion in the shot put outdoors and won the event once at indoors.

The Hall of Honor dinner event, which featured a lively crowd, was sold out and included former basketball coach Bill Knapton and former football coach Ed DeGeorge among the attendees.
