It’s possible to sit in on a lecture by a Beloit College faculty member no matter where you are in the world. Last fall, Beloit College launched the Lunchbox Series, which allows viewers to tune in to a lecture in real time or to watch it later on demand. The live presentations are scheduled to take place during the lunch hour (CST). Past topics have included investing calmly in troubled times, featuring Warren Palmer, professor of economics and Coleman Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship; the use of drones as tools of U.S. counter-terrorism policy, featuring Beth Dougherty, Manger Professor of International Relations and professor of political science; and a presentation about pandemics, featuring Marion Field Fass, professor of biology. The full line-up of presentations for spring was still being finalized at press time, but Tom McBride, who will retire at the end of the spring semester, is on the roster for a lecture on April 23.
