Beloit has gradually been building up its digital collections, making more of Beloit’s trove of documents, photos, art, artifacts, and ephemera accessible to seekers far and wide. One of the latest additions to the Beloit College Digital Collections is a sizeable chunk of Beloit College Magazine issues, both vintage and contemporary.
The project is still underway, but at press time, the magazine collection included searchable PDF copies from 1976 through 2012, and from 1910 through 1915. The goal is eventually to offer the complete run of the magazine online. The full text can be searched from the collection’s homepage at http://www.beloit.edu/bcdc, and browse options allow users to locate issues by decade or by year. The most recent issues are available in their entirety except for class notes, which were omitted because of privacy concerns.
Also of note on the site are digital collections of photos, documents, and ephemera on Beloit’s radio station, the Beloit Relays, the Neese Theatre historic costume collection, extensive photos from the Logan Museum of Anthropology and the Wright Museum of Art, as well as many other subject areas.
